  the heated air from within engine bay, however in testing,
  even with an effective heat shield the air temperature
  entering the filter was still at above 138 degrees.  
  
  
• The long-styled intake (such as the V2) provides the filter
  with a significantly cooler air, measurements where
  consistently 30 degrees cooler.  Cooler air is denser allowing
  your engine to reach it's max performance ability.
  
  
• 3.5 inch full high grade (ISO9000, QS9000, SAE, and TMC
  standards) 4-ply silicone tubing, allowing for great heat
  resistant properties.
  
  
• 45% bend and a one-piece long tube construction, thereby
  limiting flow-inhibiting transition points and catching the
